This month the Shoreline team lended their kitchen skills to help Our Big Kitchen with making over 130 hot meals, which were packaged and distributed to people in need, including women’s domestic refuge shelters and the homeless located in Pitt Street, Sydney.
This is part of Shoreline’s ongoing efforts to give back to the community and we encourage all to get involved if you can.
Our Big Kitchen is a charity, based in Sydney, which inspires individuals to come together to help people in need. Last year they distributed over 80,000 meals to disadvantaged Australians.
Our Big Kitchen does this through food rescue, working closely with organisations like SecondBite and Foodbank to minimise food waste and turn fresh produce into a home cooked meal.
Food and giving meals is the positive end result, but the journey of how the meal was made is just as important!
