Shoreline recently presented at the Investment Data and Technology Summit held in Sydney.

Director Bruce Russell and Associate Director Chris Robertson offered their insight into current industry ‘hot’ topics.
On the day Shoreline exhibited alongside other Industry contenders, with interested parties discussing their thoughts and interpretations from the day.
Bruce chaired a panel of experts which explored the role of data as a source of investment ideas and how combining data from different departments, including risk, performance, investment, IT and operations can improve investment decision making.
Chris took his part in making up a separate panel which provided insights into the extent to which machine learning techniques can be applied to generate predictive analytics using large structured and unstructured datasets. They discussed the types of machine learning strategies best suited to analysing large data sets and the technological capabilities required to implement machine learning techniques in an investment management framework.
Both panels were well received on the day with Shoreline receiving popular noted feedback from sponsors and delegate attendees.
These presentations show the level of Shoreline’s industry expertise and ability to stay at the forefront of cutting edge industry issues. If you are interested in learning more about either of these topics, please contact either Bruce or Chris.
